What is Skyreader?
Skyreader is a reading app. It brings what you want to read into one calm place: blogs and news sites, newsletters, writing published on the Atmosphere, the links people you follow share on Bluesky, articles you find around the web, even PDFs, books, and YouTube videos. Then it gives you a quiet surface to read them, highlight what matters, and come back to it.
If you’ve used a feed reader like Feedly or NetNewsWire, or a read-later app like Pocket or Readwise Reader, Skyreader does both jobs in one place.

How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Follow. Add the sites and newsletters you read, and group them into channels. Adding sources
- Read. One chronological stream, with a clean reader that works offline. Reading
- Keep. Save articles from anywhere, highlight passages, write notes in the margin, and let old highlights resurface. Saving and highlights
- Find. Search everything you’ve read, saved, and highlighted, or keep a search as a channel that fills on its own (with the Supporter plan). Search
- Share. Post links with what you thought of them to your linkblog, a public page anyone can read or subscribe to. Sharing and your linkblog
- Read together. Join a reading room and see who else is reading along. Reading rooms
Where to start

Built on the Atmosphere
Section titled “Built on the Atmosphere”Skyreader runs on the Atmosphere, the open network behind Bluesky. You sign in with an account you own, often your Bluesky account, rather than a Skyreader password. The parts of your reading you choose to make portable work in any Atmospheric app, not just this one. New to these words? See Words you’ll see.
Skyreader is independent software, built and run by one person, free while in beta, with a Supporter plan that raises the limits and keeps it running.
